Hi, I’m Christy

I’m a Registered Nurse with over 15 years of experience across psychiatry, oncology, rehabilitation, and women’s health, with a strong foundation in psychology. I hold a BA in Psychology from Boston University and a BSN from Grand Canyon University. Throughout my nursing career, I’ve been drawn to roles that center education, advocacy, and helping people navigate complex healthcare systems.

One of the most formative roles in my career was working as an oncology nurse navigator, where I supported patients from diagnosis through survivorship. I helped coordinate care, prepare patients for appointments, manage side effects, and navigate insurance and treatment decisions. That work shaped how I approach care today—but it was only when I became a parent that I truly understood how overwhelming the healthcare system can feel, even with medical training.

After struggling with fertility, I welcomed my first son, who was born with Down syndrome. In those early days, I found myself navigating appointments, specialists, and care decisions while also learning how to care for a newborn. Despite my nursing background, I often felt uncertain and overwhelmed—an experience that deeply shaped my desire to support families who are facing similar challenges without the benefit of clinical training.

Breastfeeding my son brought both immense joy and real difficulty. Drawing on my medical background, I was able to exclusively breastfeed for one year, but I experienced firsthand how isolating feeding can feel without the right guidance. When my second son was born, I carried forward everything I had learned—clinically and personally.

These experiences led me to pursue lactation consulting and my IBCLC certification. Today, my work blends the clinical knowledge of a nurse, the systems-based thinking of a healthcare navigator, and the empathy of a parent who understands how vulnerable early parenthood can be.

Nurture. Support. Thrive. is more than a tagline—it reflects my commitment to caring for families with compassion, clarity, and respect at every stage.
